London Phoenix

London Phoenix, as the name suggests, is a London based club who ride all over the South East starting from different points in London. Regular rides include routes in Hertfordshire, Surrey, Essex and Kent as well as training in London parks.

They started as a mountain bike club approx 15 years ago and slowly evolved to incorporate all types of riding. Their strongest areas are CX and road with a few time trialists and mountain bikers still in the mix. They also have a fairly strong track following and hire the olympic velodrome once a month for training - with members regularly racing and standing on the podium at Herne Hill. They also have a few members who enjoy the pain of the hill climb season!

This year London Phoenix provided the winner of the Ras De Cymru along with many road crit wins as well as strong finishes in most road races that were entered. The London Phoenix women's team raced in the London GP against Marianne Vos and Lizzie Armistead.

Not just bound to London and the surrounding areas you will also see London Phoenix in overseas races and events like the Etape, Maratona and one day sportives like L-B-L and Paris Roubaix. They make regular trips to Mallorca and Girona too.

Why do they do it? because they all love to ride bikes and love to compete!
